On Friday the 28th of July our school was invited to join Biraban Public School for their annual NAIDOC Day celebration. Students enjoyed watching traditional dance performed by their dance group, we heard the Australian National Anthem sung in the Awabakal language, we tried crocodile and emu, and we participated in a rotation of five cultural activities organised by their dedicated staff and community.
Cooper painting a rock.
Solomon and Jet making their beads.
Awaba kids enjoying Mob Hip Hop.
Isabella and Arielle waiting for their turn in traditional games.
Travis and Kohen playing traditional games.
Drew and Kohen weaving grass.
