A Strong Start
Our school is inclusive, welcoming all students. We help every child feel safe, included and ready to learn from their very first day. We run a comprehensive Kindergarten Orientation program with five sessions, which culminates in a full day at school. We offer a buddy program, where our primary students practice leadership. All students play together, learn together and help new students to make a smooth transition to our school.
Growth in the Classroom and Beyond
We offer students a wide range of subjects and opportunities. This empowers them to learn, develop skills, and discover their passions.
Support for Every Family
We strive for goals that help students learn in the way that works best for them. Students take part in Small Group Tuition and are rostered into individual sessions with the Learning and Support Teacher. Our students benefit from weekly team teaching and have a voice in their own learning. Teachers work in partnership with families to reach learning and wellbeing goals.

As a small school, Awaba offers a unique and stable setting, with students spending three to four years in the one learning environment. Students develop strong bonds with the teachers and each other to succeed.
